একটি খোলা চিঠিঃ

শুভেচ্ছা নিবেন। অনেকেই বলে থাকেন সংস্কৃতি হচ্ছে একটি দেশের পোশাক। যদি আমরা সেই সংস্কৃতি থেকে দূরে থাকি তাহলে এর প্রভাব কতটা ভয়াবহ হতে পারে তা কখনো কী ভেবে দেখেছেন? লোকসংস্কৃতি আমাদের নিজস্ব সংস্কৃতির সঙ্গে ওতপ্রোতভাবে জড়িয়ে আছে। বাংলার লোকগান, লোকছড়া, লোকগল্প, লোকখেলা কতই না আকর্ষণীয় এবং চমকপ্রদ। আমাদের শৈশব ছিল ছড়াময়। দাদি-নানির মুখে গল্প শুনে আমরা ঘুমিয়ে পড়তাম। লোকসংস্কৃতির এই উপাদান একসময় রাজা থেকে প্রজা, আমির থেকে গরিব, বুড়ো থেকে শিশু সবার আনন্দ বিনোদনের মাধ্যম ছিল। কিন্তু বিশ্বায়ন এর প্রভাবে ও দিন দিন যৌথ পরিবার ব্যবস্থা ভেঙ্গে যাওয়ার কারণে আজ লোকসংস্কৃতি হুমকির সম্মুখীন। এখনকার সময়ের কোন বালককে যদি গোল্লাছুট খেলার কথা বলা হয় তাহলে সে অবাক বিস্ময়ে তাকিয়ে থাকবে। এভাবে চলতে থাকলে আরও কিছু দিন পর আমাদের নিজস্ব সংস্কৃতির কঙ্কাল বিশেষও খুঁজে পাওয়া যাবে না। আমরা হয়ে যাব বস্ত্রহীন জাতির মত।

দেশের প্রতি দায়িত্ববোধ ও নিজের সংস্কৃতিকে ভালবেসে আমরা বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের একদল তরুণ-তরুণী “লোকসংস্কৃতি রক্ষা করি (লোরক) সোসাইটি” নামে একটি সংগঠন প্রতিষ্ঠা করেছি। এই সংগঠনের উদ্দেশ্য হল হারিয়ে যেতে বসা লোকসংস্কৃতির বিভিন্ন উপাদান সংগ্রহ ও প্রচার করা এবং লোকসংস্কৃতির হারানো অতীত ফিরিয়ে আনা। আমরা চাই বিশ্বের দরবারে আমাদের সংস্কৃতিকে সমুন্নত রাখতে। আমাদের এই শুভ উদ্যোগে আপনার সহযোগিতা ও সমর্থন প্রয়োজন। আপনার একটু চেষ্টা রক্ষা করতে পারে আমাদের লোক সংস্কৃতিকে। তাই দেশপ্রেমে উজ্জীবিত হয়ে আসুন আমাদের লোরকের পতাকা তলে। আমরা তরুণেরাই পারি আমাদের লোকসংস্কৃতিকে রক্ষা করে বিশ্বের দরবারে তুলে ধরতে।

An Open Letter:

Take greetings. Many of us used to say culture is the dress of a country. Do you realize what will happen if we keep ourselves far away from that culture? Folk Culture is an indispensable part of our own culture. Our folk songs, folk rhymes, folk stories, games are overwhelming and soothing. Our childhood was rhyme-full. we went to sleep by hearing rhymes, stories from grand parents. Once the elements of folk culture gave a lot of recreation to all classes of people. But today this folk culture is under threat due to globalization process and scattering of joint family structure. The present generation becomes astonished of hearing the name of “Gollachut” (one kind of traditional Bangladeshi games) If it continues, then the day will not be very far when skeleton of our own culture will not be found. We will be like as a cloth-less nation.

From the responsibility and love to our own culture, we a group of young bloods have made an organization – LOKOSONGSKRRITI ROKKHA KORI (LOROK) SOCIETY. The objective of this Organization is to collect the elements of folk culture which are on the verge of the extinction and then publish them in order to rebuild their lost glory. We want to show our glorious culture throughout the world. We need your help and support to this great endeavor.Your little attempt can save our folk culture. So join with us inspired by patriotism. We the young generation can save our folk culture and promote it to the world stage.
